William (Bill) Prest Sr. of Freedom, PA passed away Sunday, November 28, 2021, with his wife and his children by his side, in person and in spirit. Bill was survived by his beloved wife, Karen, of Freedom, son Bill Jr. (Tammy), of Rochester, daughters Tara (Julian) and Brandi (Scott) of Conway, and son Michael (Samantha) Prest of Moon Township all who fought tirelessly for him throughout his last week here on Earth. He leaves behind a stepdaughter, Janine, and stepson, Brad Lavelle. He also survives his grandson Brandon, and 9 younger grandchildren who were truly the light of his life. He leaves behind a brother, Tony (Nancy), sister-in-law Janice (Sam), a nephew, Tony, and nieces Katie Prest and Bunnie Miller. Bill is reunited in heaven with his mother, Geraldine (Bunnie), his father Charles Sr., his brother, Charles Jr. Prest and his very best four-legged friend, Buster. Bill served his country in the United States Air Force then as a police officer for 30 years. He would like to be known as the best trucker in the world, proudly logging 3 million miles over his 40-year career. In retirement, he found a job he truly loved as Pennsylvania State Constable. When he wasn’t sporting around town in his uniform, you could find Bill at the Casino with his wife or spending his weekends camped out at the racetrack carrying on the Prest family racing tradition. He loved his country, drag racing, his dogs, and his family. Bill had an amazing sense of humor and the sound of his laughter will live forever in our hearts. Visitation will take place on Wednesday from 6-8 PM and Thursday from 9:30 AM til time of memorial service at 11:30 AM in the John Syka Funeral Home, 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge, PA. The Beaver County special unit will meet at 11:30 AM at the funeral home to provide full military honors.
