William McCartney

William McCartney, 83 of Ambridge, passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2024, in Beaver Health Care and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born November 19, 1940, in Ambridge.  Son of the late William and Mary Cathrine Rudolph McCartney.  He was a member of 82nd Airborne, 101st Airborne, and worked for the US Post Office.

Surviving are Daughter, Pamela McCartney, Son, William McCartney, Jr; Grand-Son, Patrick Smith, Grand-Daughters, Kayla Camp, Chelsea McCartney, Abigail Jo McCartney; Great Grandsons, Tate, Phoenix and Logan George.

Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were his 1st wife, Sarah Lynne (Trapold) McCartney and Daughter, Diane K. McCartney.

Family and friends will be received on Monday and Tuesday, September 30 and October 1st, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM, in the John Syka Funeral Home, 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge, PA 15003, from where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 2nd at 10 AM, with Deacon Tony Giordano Officiating.  Interment will take place in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum.
