Vickie L. Lavelle

Vickie L. Lavelle, 65, of Bell Acres, passed away on Saturday, December 18, 2021 in Heritage Valley Health System, Sewickley. She was born on March 27, 1956 in Sewickley, to the late Charles and Anna (Fennell) Grove. Her passion in life was spending time with her family and if you wanted to start a conversation with Vickie, mention her two granddaughters who were the light of her life. She was PTA President for several years when her granddaughters attended State Street Elementary. Vickie enjoyed reading, crafting, gardening and attending train shows with her late husband Billy. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents was her husband William E. Lavelle on May 16, 2019.  She is survived by a daughter, Kelly Lavelle of Ambridge and Mike Jula of Conway, 2 cherished granddaughters, Allison and Brooke, a brother, Charles " Pete" (Debra) Grove of Bell Acres, nieces and nephews, Laura Grove and Jake Chartrand, Barbara (Graham) Taylor, great nieces, Nettie Taylor, three great-nephews, Joey and Wes Chartrand, Frankie Taylor, father-in-law, Harry Lavelle, sister-in-law, Lynn Mutz and James Deemer, niece, Kristy Mutz and her beloved pet family.  Because of the increase in Covid cases and Covid deaths, friends are invited to attend a visitation on Tuesday from 4-8 PM only if they wear masks and practice social distancing by family request at the John Syka Funeral Home, Inc. 833 Kennedy Drive Ambridge. A blessing service will be held on Wednesday at 1 PM in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Good Samaritan Cemetery.
