Timothy D. Sweesy

Timothy Dale Sweesy  63, a resident of Aspinwall VAMC died Friday, December 20, 2019.
He was born August 19,1956 in Sewickley, to the late Louis A. and Frances (Otrahalik) Sweesy.  He was a 1974 graduate of Quaker Valley High School. Tim was active in Boy Scout Troop 250, Fair Oaks and played little league baseball. He served his country as a member of the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He was an avid fisherman. While a patient at Aspinwall VAMC, he enjoyed playing bingo, making ceramics, and going on golf outings. Tim never missed going to chapel services at the hospital. Preceding him in death in addition to his parents was a sister-in-law, Laddie Dee Sweesy. Surviving are six siblings, Bonnie (Mike) Medianowsky of West Webster, NY, Dick Sweesy of Sewickley, Gerri (John) "Beeb" Harding of New Brighton, Chris (Doug) Wiseman of Massachusetts, David (Diane) Sweesy of Merrimack, NH, and Daryl Sweesy of Ambridge, numerous nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. in the John Syka Funeral Home, Inc., 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge where a funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 AM. Interment with full military honors will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
