Timothy H. Shaffer

Timothy H. Shaffer, 74, of Ambridge, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 2, 2022 at Harmony Haus where he had been a resident for the past eleven months. He was born on September 10, 1947 in Sewickley, to the late Benjamin G. and Katherine (McPherson) Shaffer. He was a retired machinist for Super Bolt Manufacturing, Carnegie. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Ambridge. Preceding him in death in addition to his parents were his wife, Linda B. (Beyer) Shaffer, a son, Todd Shaffer, and a brother, Bruce Shaffer. He is survived by his two children, Traci Lasota and Troy (Dana) Shaffer, all of Ambridge, five grandchildren, Jayme Knoll, Mara Petrosky, Hailey Shaffer, Addison Shaffer, and Loran Shaffer, two great grandchildren, Brayden Potts and Tanner Petrosky. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 6-8 PM in the John Syka Funeral Home, Inc. 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge where a funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday at 11 AM with the Rev. Jill McGregor officiating. Interment will follow in Sewickley Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of Harmony Haus, especially Mark and Courtney for their compassionate care extended to Timothy during his stay there as well as his friends at Crow Coffee House.
