Sylvia A. Glas

Sylvia A. Glas, 85, of Economy, passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 in Masonic Village, Aleppo Township. She was born on July 3, 1936 in Sewickley, to the late Andrew and Louise (Granitz) Stranko. She enjoyed baking and decorating cakes, crafting and painting. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were two brothers, Bill and Paul Stranko and a sister, Esther Chelsea. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Richard G. Glas, two sons, Richard D. (Karen) Glas of Waxhaw, NC, Robert  Glas of Economy, three grandchildren, Jessica (Kenneth) Boben of Fort Mill, SC, David and Sarah Glas of Waxhaw, NC, and great grandson, Kenneth Boben IV. Friends will be received on Friday, November 26, 2021 from 6 to 8 PM in the John Syka Funeral Home, Inc. 833 Kennedy Dr., Ambridge where a funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 9:00 AM. The Rev. Jill McGregor will officiate. Interment will follow in Sewickley Cemetery.
