Stanley Thomas Shea, of Economy, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 26, 2023, at Heritage Valley, Beaver at the age of 67. He was born on September 13, 1955, in Sewickley, to the late Stanley John and Catherine Barbara (Polachek) Shea. He worked as an ice cream maker for Taylor's Allstar Dairy in Ambridge with 23 years' service and then took a position of inside sales with Motion Industries in New Castle with 17 years' service. He was a member of St. Luke the Evangelist Parish, Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Conway. Stan was a true family man. Nothing brought him more joy than spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. Stan loved coaching sports, giving fatherly advice, and using humor to make everyone feel loved and cared for. He had a passion for watching Pittsburgh sports in his man cave, cheering on his grandkids at their activities, and fixing problems with ingenuity. His benevolent spirit continues beyond his death to bless those with his life through organ donation. Our lives are richer for having known him. Preceding him in death in addition to his parents were a daughter, Baby Shea and a sister, Barbara Bailey. He is survived by his high school sweetheart and loving wife, Janet (Max) Shea who together enjoyed 45 years of wedded bliss. Like "peas and carrots," Stan and Janet were the perfect match, and as long they were together, they could take on the world. He also leaves behind his four children, Christopher (Jaclyn) Shea, Heather (Eric) Stein, Carolyn (Greg) Crawford, Ashley (Chris) Canann, loving grandchildren, Ella and Jacob Shea, Eliana and Bennett Canaan and Evelyn Crawford, and a sister, Geraldine Storm. Family and friends are asked to meet Thursday at St. Luke the Evangelist Parish, Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Conway, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 AM. The services will conclude at the church as the interment will take place privately. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition at www.ovarian.org. Arrangements have been entrusted to the John Syka Funeral Home, Inc. Ambridge.
