Sophie Nadzak

Sophie Nadzak, 94 of Ambridge, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born October 31, 1928, in Ambridge, a daughter of the late Andrew and Catherine Winiarchik Hladio.  She was a lifelong member of the SS Peter & Paul Ukranian Catholic Church, member of the Marion Guild, and a faithful pirohi worker. Surviving are her 3 daughters and sons in law Susan (Rich) Rieg, Janet (Jay) Daniels, Judi (Bob) Mustio, 6 grandchildren Brad (Sarah) Mustio, Brian Mustio, Julie (Mike) Stefanchik, Mark (Jess) Rieg, Jenn (Josh) Smith, T.J. Daniels, 5 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.  Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her loving husband Joseph Nadzak, 3 brothers, and 3 sisters. Friends will be received on Thursday from 6-8 P.M. in the John Syka Funeral Home, Inc., 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge, from where a prayer will be offered Friday at 12:30 P.M. followed by a church service at 1 PM in the SS Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church.  Interment will follow in SS Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery.
