Scott R. Young

Scott R. Young, 48, a resident of Allegheny Valley School, passed away on Friday, November 25, 2022. He was born on March 15, 1974, in Natrona Heights, to the late Glenn R. and Julia (Gernat) Young.  Scott had a great love for dogs, deer, and enjoying the outdoors. He will be most remembered for a special quality of having an inquisitive gift of "Asking Questions".  He knew everything and anything about everyone and anything. It was humorous to the point where there was nothing that got past him. Preceding him in death in addition to his parents were his maternal grandparents, Joseph and Bessie Gernat and paternal grandparents Glenn S. and Audrey Young. He is survived by a sister, Susan (Larry) Amrhein of Baden, nephew, Joseph Rock, niece, Rebecca Rock, aunt, Patricia Gigliotti, three cousins, Leigh Anne (Dennis) Jerz, Andrew (Merideth) Gigliotti, Joseph Gigliotti and his extended family at Allegheny Valley School. There was no public visitation. A celebration of Scott's life will be held at a future date. Susan would like to thank the caring staff at Allegheny Valley School and the Dr's. and nurses at Allegheny General Hospital for the loving and compassionate care extended to Scott while under their care.
