Rosemary Sloppy, 80, of Economy, passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at Allegheny General Hospital. She was born on August 26, 1941 in Ambridge, to the late Michael and Olga (Zylko) Leseiko. She was a retired school teacher for Ambridge Area Schools. Rosemary was an active member of Concord Presbyterian Church in Economy. Her passion in life was spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed quilting with her church friends, reading and listening to books, watching movies, cooking, and canning. Rosemary and Harold were longtime members of PAABA (Pittsburgh Area Artisan Blacksmith Association) and looked forward to their annual meetings every year. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Harold L. Sloppy, a daughter, Gretchen Sloppy of Baden, son Kurt Sloppy of Ambridge, grandchild, Aidan Ford, a sister and brother-in-law, Margaret Jean and Kenneth Kohl of Canton, OH, a niece and nephew. Friends will be received on Sunday from 1-5 PM at the John Syka Funeral Home, Inc. 833 Kennedy Dr., Ambridge where a funeral service will be held on Monday at 10 AM with her pastor, Rev. Jaime Fowler officiating. Interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to Concord Presbyterian Church, 2832 Concord Wallrose Road, Baden, PA 15005.
