Robert “Bob” Kusnirak

Robert (Bob) Kusnirak, 87, of Leetsdale, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2022. He was born on April 14, 1935, in Ambridge, to the late John and Mary Kusnirak. He graduated from Ambridge Area High School. He worked hard all his life and was dedicated to his loving family, his Church, and his community. Bob was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Sewickley, PA. He was a retired superintendent of the Leetsdale Sewage Authority, served on the Leetsdale Council, was a Leetsdale Fireman, and was a member of the Leetsdale Civic Club. For many years he brought smiles to the children's faces by playing Santa Claus. He was also a member of the Masonic Sewickley Doric Lodge #630.  Bob was looking forward to being reunited with his beautiful wife of 66 years, Anna Marie (Becker) Kusnirak. Eight months ago, when she passed his last words to her were, "I love you and I will see you soon". Bob was a devoted father and a wonderful grandfather and great grandfather. He is survived by his children Sheri (Nemo) Anderson, Ken (Adrienne) Kusnirak and Robin (Bob) Garvin, his three grandchildren Brandon (Lindsay) Turcovsky, Jocelyn (Eric) Couch and Travis Kusnirak, and his three great-grandchildren Brayden, Danica, and Zackary. He was proceeded in death by his brother John.  Bob was a strong man that would fight for what he believed in. He loved vacationing with his wife in Myrtle Beach, going to the casino and spending weekends at their camp in Slippery Rock Campground with his family and friends. He was also a giving man and helped many people over the years that needed assistance. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.  Services and interment are private. Arrangements have been entrusted to the John Syka Funeral Home, Inc. 833 Kennedy Dr. Ambridge.
