Robert J. Piltz, Sr., 68, of Ambridge, entered the gates of his eternal home on Saturday, January 2, 2021 following a brief illness. He was born on May 25, 1952 in New Brighton, to the late Joseph Piltz and Frances (Walter) Piltz of Baden. He was a retired home remodeler for F.D. Strano Sales and Associates with 40 years service and was currently employed at the Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry, Ambridge. Robert was a member the New Hope Community Church, Ambridge, FOE Eagles #1365, Ambridge, and the War Dogs Motorcycle Club. He was an avid golfer and fisherman. Preceding him in death in addition to his father was a son, Robert J. "Bobby" Piltz II. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Deborah Ann (Karas) Piltz, daughter, Stacy (John) Phillips of Leetsdale, son, Michael Piltz and Jamie Hite of Fair Oaks, four grandchildren, Charles (Rebecca) Bickel, Jaden, Axel, and Willow, two great grandchildren, Marjorie and Maverick Bickel, sister, Doreen (William) Harris of Beaver, his faithful dog, Dolce, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews, along with his many War Dogs motorcycle brothers. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4PM until time of funeral services at 6PM in New Hope Community Church, 592 Beaver Road, Ambridge. His pastor, the Rev. Rick Thornhill will officiate. Interment will be private. Arrangements have been entrusted to the John Syka Funeral Home, Inc., 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge.
