Robert L. Laney III

Robert L. Laney III, 73,  of Harmony Township, died Saturday, July 24, 2021 in West Penn Hospital. He was born on March 22, 1948 in Sewickley, to the late Robert Laney Jr. and Margaret (Pethtel) Laney. He was a 1966 graduate of Ambridge High School and a member of the Owls Club of Rochester.  He retired from Valvoline Oil Company as a blender after 47 years of service. His passions in life included camping, taking day trips, and having dinner with friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Kristy Palitti, a son, James R. Laney, sister, Diane Wagstrom, niece, Ellen Caputo (Gary Young), nephews, David (Tracy) Lenda, Paul, Darren, and Sloan Palitti, cousins, Barbara Warren and Karen Agostinella. He was beloved by Morley and Ivy and will be greatly missed by his many friends. Visitation will take place on Wednesday from 10 AM until time of funeral services at 1 PM in the John Syka Funeral Home, Inc. 833 Kennedy Dr. Ambridge. The Rev. Steve Myers will officiate. Entombment will follow in the Beaver Falls Mausoleum.
