Richard J. Vallecorsa, 74, a lifelong resident of Ambridge, died Monday, October 31, 2022, in Good Samaritan Hospice, Beaver. He was born on April 20, 1948, in Sewickley, to the late Arthur and Betty (Davis) Vallecorsa. He was a materials manager for the Ambridge School District retiring in 2011 with 25 years' service. He was a life member of the Ambridge Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed riding his bicycle through the streets of Ambridge, spending time with family, especially his "Best Buds", Alex and Matthew, and vacationing in Ocean City, MD. He was member of the former St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Leetsdale and a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Sewickley. Preceding him in death in addition to his parents was his wife, Patty J. (Hill) Vallecorsa. He is survived by his two sons, Mark (Jodi) Vallecorsa of Ambridge, Michael (Melissa) Vallecorsa of Monaca, two grandsons, Alexander and Matthew Vallecorsa, step grandson, Joel (Lauren) Palladini, cousins, Ron and Don Frynkewicz, John and Father Dan Vallecorsa, and sister-in-law, Donna (Jack) Jamison. Friends will be received on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the John Syka Funeral Home, Inc. 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge where a funeral service will be held on Friday at 11 AM by his pastor, the Rev. Ryan Kobert. Members of the Ambridge Volunteer Fire Department will conduct a memorial service on Thursday at 7 PM in the funeral home.
