Richard Schneider Obituary


Richard C. Schneider, 81, a resident of Rochester Manor, passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2021. He was born on June 15, 1940 in Pittsburgh, to the late Richard J. and Jean (Haley) Schneider. He was a retired printer for the Pittsburgh Press and Post-Gazette. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam War. Preceding him in death in addition to his parents was a brother-in-law, James Pschirer. He is survived by his wife, M. Jayne (Gamble) Schneider, a son, Richard C. (Nichole) Schneider, Jr. of Cranberry, a daughter, Amy Schneider Wetzel of Pittsburgh, a stepson, Mark Confer of Derry, PA, a stepdaughter, Virginia Confer (Christopher) Kardasz of Economy, grandchildren, Christopher Confer, Angela (Josh) Kapisak, Dillon Schneider, Brian Wetzel, Heather Wetzel-Brock, and Dawson Micholetti, great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Alicia, and Josh Kapisak Jr., Amy, Alyssa and Emily Wetzel, and Dominic Brock, and a sister, Elizabeth Schneider Pschirer of Pittsburgh. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 11 AM in the Concord Presbyterian Church, 2832 Conway Wallrose Road, Economy Boro, Baden, PA with the Rev. Jamie Fowler officiating. A luncheon reception will immediately follow in the church hall. Private interment will take place in Uniondale Cemetery, Pittsburgh. Arrangements have been entrusted to the John Syka Funeral Home, Inc. Ambridge.
