Rev. Charles Eugene Hadden, Jr., 80, a resident of Brighton Rehabilitation and Wellness Center, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 29, 2022. He was born on June 1, 1942, to the late Charles E. and Dorothy (Laney) Hadden. He was an ordained pastor for the Church of God in Cleveland, Tennessee. He worked several jobs over the course of his life including landscaping and could fix anything. He was an avid car enthusiast and excellent mechanic. He proudly served his country as a member of the US Army during the Vietnam War. Preceding him in death in addition to his parents were his loving wife, Inis (McFarland) Hadden whom he married on May 12, 1967, and beloved granddaughter, Kyleigh McConnell, two brothers, Leonard Hadden and Edward Hadden. He leaves behind five children, Yvonne (Rob) McConnell, Phyllis Velez, William Hadden, Charlene Burr, Robert (Bonnie) Bennett, four grandchildren, Zachary and his fiancé, Alexandria Kightlinger, Michael, Kendrick, and Austin. There will be no public visitation. Anyone who wishes to attend his service and burial are asked to meet on Monday, December 12, 2022, at 1:00 PM in the parking lot of the John Syka Funeral Home, Inc. 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge where his funeral procession will leave promptly at 1:30 PM for the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Washington County where Charles will receive full military honors provided by Brentwood VFW Post 1810 Military Funeral Honor Guard and the US Army at 2:30 PM.
