Phil Perciavalle Obituary

Phil Perciavalle, of Leetsdale, PA passed-away peacefully at Good Samaritan Hospice, Thursday, January 7th.  Friends and family of Phil will remember his love for both his community and his family.  Born and raised in Leetsdale, a 1962 graduate of Quaker Valley High School, Phil spent his life giving back to his community.  An avid Steelers fan, he shared his passion for football by co-founding the midget football program for Quaker Valley and enjoyed watching his son and grandsons play for Quaker Valley Schools. Phil served as a youth sports coach and further served his community as a member of the Leetsdale Counsel until he was elected Tax Collector for Leetsdale borough in 2000. Phil spent 4 decades of his professional career as a sales manager at Consolidated Graphics.

For Phil, “la famigla é tutto.” He is cherished in memory by his older brothers Rocco (Carol) Perciavalle, Vince (Sherry) Perciavalle and by numerous nieces, and nephews held very dear to him.

Phil and his wife, Kathy (Lessick) Perciavalle enjoyed 27 years filled with the love they had for each other, their children, Kelly (Eric) Christoffersen, Jim (Terri) Perciavalle, Heather (Charles) Steinmetz, Shawn Johnston, Allison Marsh, and their grandchildren, Jake Pacheco, Klay Pacheco, Mackale Perciavalle, Zekeal Perciavalle, Rory Steinmetz, Raena Perciavalle, Raegan Steinmetz, Emma Johnston, and Miles Johnston.  Known as “Pap,” to his grandchildren, he will be remembered for his generous heart and warm smile.  In honor of this love for his grandchildren, the family requests a charitable donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org, in lieu of flowers.

The Mass of Christian Burial scheduled for Monday at 10:30 AM has been cancelled and will be rescheduled at a future date.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the John Syka Funeral Home, Inc. 833 Kennedy Dr. Ambridge.
