Peter A. Tepley, 87, a resident of the Lutheran Senior Life Passavant Community, Zelienople, formerly of Economy passed away Friday, April 28, 2023, at UPMC Cranberry. He was born on August 12, 1935, in Calumet, Westmoreland County, to the late Peter and Elizabeth (Malinish) Tepley. He was employed as a computer operator for USX Steel Manufacturing, Southside Pittsburgh. Peter was a longtime member of St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church, Ambridge and was a former member of the Baden Legion. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Preceding him in death in addition to his parents were his two wives, Blanche (Oplinger) Tepley and Norma (Stemberski) Tepley, an infant brother Eugene Tepley, brother Ronald Tepley, and a grandson Ryan Conrad. Surviving are his five children, Pete Tepley of Clinton, Sandi (Carl) Kuhni of Economy, Donna (Mark) Rodgers of Edgeworth, Lisa (Kevin) Eaton of Freedom, Debbie (Vic) Conrad of Cranberry, 14 grandchildren, Mark (Emily) Rodgers, Katie (Ian) Semple, Shannon Rodgers and fiancé Bill, Matthew Rodgers, Nathaniel, Bethany, Megan, Jessalynn, and Zachary Tepley, Justin and Kayla Eaton, Emma, Jacob and Adam Conrad, five great grandchildren, Henry, Benjy, and James Rodgers, Jack and Maggie Semple, two sisters, Sister Elizabeth Jane Tepley, Sisters of St. Basil, Uniontown, Mary Ann Tepley of Florida, two brothers, Frank Tepley of Mt. Pleasant, John (Madelyn) Tepley of Palm City, FL, numerous nieces and nephews, special lady friend, Helen Lampe of Zelienople, three stepchildren, Gwen (Tom) Rizzo of Jackson Center, PA, Laura (Anthony) Seal of Georgia, and Larry Stemberski of Ohio. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-8 PM in the John Syka Funeral Home, Inc. 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge. A Parastas will be held at 3 PM in the funeral home. A Panachya service will be held Wednesday at 10:30 AM in the funeral home followed by a Divine Liturgy for the repose of his sole at 11 AM in St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, Park Road, Ambridge, with his pastor, Father Geoffrey Mackey officiating. Members of the Beaver County Special Unit and the United States Air Force will perform full military honors at St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church immediately after the church service. Anyone who wishes to attend the burial service are ask to meet Thursday at 11 AM at the St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Cemetery in Trauger, PA.
