Patricia Driscoll

Patricia Ann (Smalczewski) Driscoll, passed away on September 12, 2024, surrounded by her children and grandchildren.  ‘Pat’ was born on July 21, 1943, in Ambridge, PA.  She was the wife of the late Edwin Driscoll; mother to children, Bryan Driscoll (Sharon), Monica Driscoll, Erin Perry (fiancé, Kevin), Shannon Martocci (Matt), Sara Melocchi (Nick), as well as 18 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Pat also leaves behind her sister MaryAnn Cohen (Bruce) and brother, Tim Smalczewski (Teresa), as well as numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

Pat graduated from Mt. Gallitzin High School and went on to receive her nursing diploma from St. Joseph’s Nursing School in 1964.  Pat spent her life doing what she always dreamed of, being a nurse and caring for others.

Pat will be remembered as the woman who kept her family together with love, honesty, and pierogies. She supported her husband in all his endeavors and loved having her children and grandchildren around the kitchen table hearing about their latest accomplishments.  She will be missed by all who loved her and had the pleasure of being in her home.

Family and friends will gather for visitation on Monday, September 16, 2024, from 2-8 PM, in the John Syka Funeral Home, 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge, PA 15003, from where funeral prayers will be held on Tuesday, September 17th at 9:00 AM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 AM in the Good Samaritan Catholic Church (Saint Luke the Evangelist Parish), 725 Glenwood Avenue, Ambridge, PA 15003.  Interment will follow in the Holy Savior Cemetery. 

Pat’s family would like to thank Good Samaritan Hospice for the extraordinary care and attention that was given to their mother during this difficult time.
