Miriam D. Bennett, a resident of the Masonic Village, Aleppo Township, died Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at the age of 99. She was born on June 23, 1923, in Adrian (Armstrong County) to the late Irving and Blanche (Kline) Hodgson. She worked as a bookkeeper for many years at Ambridge Wholesale Tire. Miriam was a long-time member of Baden United Methodist Church. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her husband, Leroy Bennett, granddaughter, Julie McFarland, son-in-law, Mark Wilhelm, and siblings, Irving Hodgson, Cline Hodgson, Ramon Hodgson, Paul Hodgson, Evelyn Franz, Dorothy Bowers, Margaret Heitzenriter, Emma Boyd, Betty Chernoff, Ruth Boyd, and Jean Smith. She is survived by four daughters, Shirley (Charles) Fober of Baden, Barbara (Larry) Racki of Wexford, Connie (Thomas) Kronstain of Fort Wayne, IN, Pamela (Lenny) Seanez of Baden, eight grandchildren, Denise (Timothy) Dearfield of New Sewickley Twp., Christopher Racki of Butler, Holly Kinzler of Wexford, Kimberly (Robert) Crawford of Leo, IN, Laurie (Brad) Geisleman of Fort Wayne, IN, Amber (Michael Brown) Wilhelm of Johnstown, PA, Benjamin (Sara) Wilhelm of Colorado, and twelve great grandchildren. Friends will be received on Monday from 4-8 PM in the John Syka Funeral Home, Inc. 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 10 AM. Her pastor the Rev. James Young will officiate. Interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to Baden Memorial Library, 385 State Street, Baden, PA 15005.
