Michael G. Golovich, 78, of Baden, died Tuesday, March 22, 2022, in Salem Regional Medical Center. He was born on July 19, 1943, in Pittsburgh, to the late Joseph and Ann (Gurgorvich) Golovich. He was a retired steamfitter for Local 449, Pittsburgh and was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Conway. Michael was a loving husband and stepfather as well as a respected member of his community. He was a soft-spoken gentle soul who had the ability to make people laugh. Michael loved children and was actively involved in Toys for Tots. He was a very generous man and contributed to missions in third world countries to assist in building wells. He is survived by two daughters, Debra Chesnick and Denise Chesnick, grandson, Nick Knighton, a sister, Mariann Vanmeter and a brother, Joe Golovich. Friends will be received on Friday from 4-8 PM in the John Syka Funeral Home, 833 Kennedy Dr., Ambridge where prayers will be offered on Saturday at 11:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at noon in Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Conway. Interment will follow in John Anderson Memorial Cemetery, Raccoon Twp. In lieu of flowers monetary donations are suggested to the Syka Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
