Mary “Dee” Dolores Gazda

Mary “Dee” Dolores Gazda, 93, of Allison Park, formerly Economy Borough passed away on October 16, 2022. She was born on January 29, 1929, to the late Mary Neudorfer. Preceding her in death, in addition to her mother, was her loving husband, James Gazda, son, Raymond Gazda I, and granddaughter, Danielle Gazda. She is survived by her son, Robert Gazda of Tyrone, PA, grandchildren, Raymond (Andrea) Gazda II of Baden and Rebecca (Bruce Jenkins) Gazda of Sewickley, and great-grandchildren Raymond III, Aunia, Alayna, and Kaydan Gazda of Baden and Dezaray Shaffer of Timblin, PA.  Dee was a loving grandmother to all who met her, it was impossible to pass her threshold without letting her “get you something to eat.” She will be fondly remembered for her baking, family dinners, and welcoming spirit. She will also be remembered for her spunky personality, ability to consume unlimited amounts of coffee, affinity for sweets and chain smoking, killer gin rummy skills, and dance moves with her friends in the care facility.  She adored all of her children and will be greatly missed.  Friends will be received on Saturday from 11:00 am until the time of funeral services at 1:00 pm in the John Syka funeral home, 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge, PA. The Rev. Jill McGregor will officiate.  Interment will follow at Economy Cemetery.
