Mary Carol Pournaras

Mary Carol Pournaras, 69, of Franklin Park, formerly of Ambridge, died Sunday, June 4, 2023, in West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born on July 1, 1953, in Sewickley, to the late Walter and Anne (Mosura) Kowalski. Carol was retired from the Ambridge Area School District and was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, Ambridge. Surviving are her husband Angelo, son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Jeanna Pournaras of Cranberry Township, daughter and son-in-law, Lindsay and Brian Mohr of Wexford. She was very proud of her cherished grandchildren, Kinsley and Aven Pournaras and Carson and Mia Mohr, and brother and sister-in-law, Wally and Kathy Kowalski of Rochester. Her kindness and friendly nature made her a special person to most people. Visitation will take place on Thursday from 9 AM until time of funeral service at 10 AM in Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church with her pastor, Father Anastasios Athanasiou officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church Cemetery, Allison Park. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 2930 Beaver Road, Ambridge, PA 15003.
