Mary Elizabeth Snyder

Mary Elizabeth Snyder, 72, of Hopewell Twp. passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at Heritage Valley, Beaver. She was born on November 1, 1950, in Sewickley, to the late John and Estella (Swain) Milligan. After graduating from Hopewell High School, she attended Community College of Beaver County where she got a degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Her first job was at the former Aliquippa Hospital and later worked in St. Petersburg, FL, Berlin, Germany, Clarksville, TN, Wildflecken, Germany, and Fairbanks, Alaska. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Jim Snyder and a son Shawn Snyder of Hopewell Twp. Friends will be received on Monday from 4-8 PM in the John Syka Funeral Home, Inc. 833 Kennedy Dr., Ambridge where a Blessing Service will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or to the Beaver County Humane Society.
