Marion L. Striffler

Marion L. Striffler, 95, of Zelienople, a former 58-year resident of Economy, passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2022. She was born on October 10, 1926, in Sewickley, to the late Collin and Katherine (Eckert) Barley. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her husband, Edward Striffler, and three sisters, Lenora, Murel, and Ethel, and a brother, Sonny. She is survived by three children, Kathy (Ed) Merriman of Zelienople, Joseph A. (Kathy M.) Striffler of Florida, Janet L. (Anthony) Wight of Baden, grandchildren, Sarah and Jeremy Ketter of Rhode Island, Kate Wight and Joe Brockett, Bill and Taylor Wight of Colorado, Edward (Emily) Striffler of AZ, Rachel Young of McDonald, PA, great grandchildren, Courtney, Morgan and Nick Young, Rebecca and Sam Striffler. As per Marion's wishes there was no public visitation. A private funeral service was held on Friday, September 30, 2022, in the John Syka Funeral Home, Inc. 833 Kennedy Dr. Ambridge with Pastor Mike Guthrie officiating. Private entombment followed in Sylvania Hills Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Marion's memory are suggested to Fairmount AR Presbyterian Church, 2535 Fairmount Church Road, Frankin Park, PA. 15090.
