Margaret “Mimi” M. Barlek

Margaret M. "Mimi" Barlek, 91, passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2022. She was born on February 19, 1931, to the late John and Frances (Cavrak) Plesh. She was a member of SS Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, Ambridge. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her husband, William Barlek and her 3 siblings, John Plesh, Lewis Plesh and Anne Locke. She is survived by three children, Bill (Brenda) Barlek of Myrtle Beach, SC, Joyce (Jeff) Miazgowicz of Crescent, Sally (Dan) Work of Hopewell Twp., six grandchildren, Chelsea (Adam) Szczepanski, Mark (Leslie) Barlek, Alexis (Eric) Thibo, Carley (Chuck) Faust, Scott Barlek, Chloe (Brandon) Quimby, seven great grandchildren, and a brother, James Plesh of Bonita Springs, FL. Friends will be received on Thursday from 4 to 8 PM in the John Syka Funeral Home, Inc. 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge where prayers will be offered on Friday at 10:30 AM followed by a Divine Liturgy at 11:00 AM in SS Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church with her pastor, Father Michael Polosky officiating.  Interment will follow in SS Peter and Paul Cemetery. A Parastas service will be held Thursday at 4 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
