Louis A. Ferrand, 79, of Harmony Township, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 19, 2022 at Heritage Valley, Beaver surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 30, 1943 in Sewickley, to the late Louis T. and Rita (Flanigan) Ferrand. He retired as a step-up foreman from Armco Steel Corporation and later worked at the Edgeworth Club, Sewickley. He was a member of St. Luke the Evangelist Parish, Good Samaritan Church. Preceding him in death in addition to his parents were his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Alfred and Bette Ankowski. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 58 years, Nancy (Ankowski) Ferrand, a daughter, Kim (Paul) Fye and a son Jeff (Heather) Ferrand, all of Beaver, four grandchildren, Jason Schlott of Ambridge, Paul Fye of Pittsburgh, Cameron Ferrand of Beaver, Carly Ferrand of Lakewood, Ohio, a brother, Jack (Nila) Ferrand, sister-in-law Betsy (Duane) Kasulka all of South Carolina, nieces and nephews, Duane, Todd (Mari), Tiffany, Tad (Krista), Holly, Luke and Hailey. Friends will be received on Thursday from 2-6 PM in the John Syka Funeral Home, Inc. 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge where prayers will be offered on Friday at 12:30 PM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 PM at St. Luke the Evangelist Parish, Good Samaritan Church, 725 Glenwood Ave. Ambridge. Private inurnment will take place in Good Samaritan Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of the Ebensburg Unit at Concordia Villa St. Joseph, and Susan and Mark from the CCU at Heritage Valley, Beaver for the loving and compassionate care extended to Louis while under their care.
