Louis J. Borgia Jr., 79, of Sewickley, is now with Jesus and Mary Magdalene, passing away on Friday, June 23, 2023, in his home with his loving family by his side. He was born on November 24, 1943, in Beaver Falls, to the late Louis J. Borgia, Sr. and Angeline (Farzo) Borgia. After graduating from Ambridge High School, he received his Batchelor of Science degree in advertising from Youngstown State University. He furthered his education and received a master's degree in elementary counseling from Penn State University. He bled blue and white on Saturday and Sunday and was an avid Steeler fan supporting his black and gold. Lou retired from Ambridge Area School District as an elementary counselor. He also worked as a family-child psychotherapist at UPMC Seneca Ridge in Rochester. Lou proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was stationed at Tan Sun Nhut air base during the Tet Offensive of 1968. He sang bass in the St. Paul's Lutheran Church Choir, Sewickley. Lou was a member of Doric Lodge #630 F&AM Sewickley and was a 32nd Degree Mason and member of the Scottish Rite. He enjoyed participating in the stage presentations of their degree work. His passions in life included cruising the many local car cruises in his restored 1968 Dodge Dart convertible which he lovingly called " Lady", reading, dancing, sailing and listening to the rain hitting on his pitched roof. Preceding him in death in addition to his parents was a sister, Lucretia Borgia. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Joann (Florcik) Borgia, a son and daughter-in-law, Louis J. Borgia III and Sarah (Moog) Borgia, and three grandchildren, Joseph Louis, Elizabeth Carmen, and Daniel Rhys Borgia. There was no public visitation.
