Lillian Elizabeth Knouse, 87, a longtime resident of Moon Township, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 7, 2021 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 27, 1933 in Edgeworth, to the late William and Lillian (Seidelman) Hoffman. She was a member of St. Stephen's Anglican Church, Sewickley and the Moon Beams Women's Bowling League. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were two brothers, William and Robert Hoffman and a sister, Nanette Smith. She is survived by her devoted husband of 65 years, Ken Knouse, loving mother of Don (Patty) Knouse and Bob Knouse, all of Moon Twp., three granddaughters, Amber (Brent) Witauer, Amy (Shane) Humberston, all of Moon Twp., Allison Knouse of Wallingford, CT, three great grandchildren, Audrey and Melody Wittenauer and Cora Humberston, and a sister, Carol (Al) Hutchinson of Raleigh, NC. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the John Syka Funeral Home, Inc. 833 Kennedy Drive Ambridge. Everyone is invited to meet on Thursday in St. Stephen's Anglican Church, 405 Frederick Ave., Sewickley, PA where a funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM. Interment will take place on Monday in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Washington County. Anyone wishing to attend the burial services are ask to meet at the John Syka Funeral Home at 8:45 AM on Monday where the procession will leave promptly at 9 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. Stephen's Anglican Church.
