Kathy Elaine Rusko

Kathy Elaine Rusko, 71, of Economy, passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2022. She was born on March 2, 1950 in Pittsburgh, to the late Howard and Cora Marcella  (Johns) Szeman. She worked for the former Kroger's Grocery Store and later as a pharmacy tech for Pharmor Pharmacy. Kathy loved animals and treasured her dog Macy and her cat Toby. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents was an infant son, Aaron Rusko. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Frank Rusko, a daughter, Rachel (Michael) Gura of Chippewa, two sons, Josh Rusko of Rochester Twp., Travis (Brittany) Rusko of Gray, PA, nine grandchildren, and a great grandson. Friends will be received on Friday from 4-8 PM at the John Syka Funeral Home, Inc. 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge where a funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 10:00 AM.  Pastor Greg Knupp of North Ridge Baptist Church, Friedens, PA will preside. Interment will follow in Economy Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to Animal Friends, 562 Camp Horne Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15237.
