Kathryn B. Hamilton

Kathryn B. Hamilton, born Kathryn Dolores Boland, was called by God on December 8, 2021. Kathryn was born to George and Catherine (Reddington) Boland on August 28, 1929, in Leetsdale.  She graduated from St. Veronica Catholic High School in 1947 and received several master's degrees in education and theology.  She married Glenn D. Hamilton in 1949 and together raised 4 children. Kathryn was a life-long teacher who worked in many Catholic schools including Saint Veronica, Saints Peter and Paul (both in Ambridge), and St. James (Sewickley).  Kathryn will be remembered for her love of travel, the many crafts she pursued, fascination and love of engineering and especially her devotion to the Catholic church.  Kathryn is survived by her four children: Mary Catherine (Terry) Hough, Thomas Glenn (Darryl Stoliker) Hamilton, Patricia Marie (Christopher) Garman, Macreena Kathleen (Byron) Cress, grandchildren: Glenn (Lisa) Garman, Shawn (Hardi) Garman and Noah Cress. She is also survived by 1 sister, Georgeann Ursprung, along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Glenn, parents, George and Catherine Boland, siblings: Sr. Rosemary Boland (CSJ), William Boland and brother-in-law, Walter Upsprung. Friends will be received Sunday from 2-5 PM in the John Syka Funeral Home, Inc. 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge where a blessing service will be held on Monday at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow in Good Samaritan Cemetery. May you live long, die happy, and rate a mansion in heaven with cleaning service.
