Judy Curry Obituary

Heaven gained another angel on August 18th who even through her illness supported and encouraged her fellow health care professionals. Judy Curry was born in Ellwood City May 1, 1945 to the late Frank and Beryl (Boots) Gross. She was a graduate of Sewickley Valley Hospital School of Nursing and obtained her Geriatric Certificate at Slippery Rock University. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, William Gross, and her devoted husband George Richard Curry. Judy was a selfless mother to Denise, Richard and Brian and a nurturing mother-in-law to Rodney and Tricia. She was known as Grandma/Gammy/GG to Brittney, Alex, Bryanna, Nathaniel, Brian, Derek, Jack, Jacob, Kevin and Daniel. All while providing guidance to so many young nurses and healthcare workers as they developed their passion for healing and recovery. Along with family and her work as an RN, she supported the family business by assisting George in his work with stained glass. She was loved by all that she encountered and enjoyed many hobbies including volunteer work at Concord Presbyterian Church as a teacher, director for plays and other activities. She will be missed but God is good and has rejoined Judy to George her soulmate whom she has missed dearly for the past few years.
