Joseph Kurash

Joseph Kurash, 92, of Ambridge, died Friday, August 20, 2021.  He was born on January 19, 1929 in Ambridge, to the late John and Anna (Wasko) Kurash. He was a retired clerk for HH Robertson Ambridge.  Joe was a member of St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, Ambridge. Preceding him in death in addition to his parents were his siblings, Ted, Mike, George, Andy, John, Steve, and Helen, nephews, Ronald Ramer, Raymond Kurash, Keith Kurash, nieces, Darlene Kurash and Marilyn Kurash-Huber. He is survived by several nieces and nephews, George (Antoinette) Kurash of Ambridge, Kenneth Kurash of Brighton Twp., Earl Ramer of Florida, Kim (Gary) Pugh of Cranberry, Andrea (Kent) Jacoby of Erie, Jill Sheon of Pittsburgh, John (Lis) Kurash, Jr. of Orlando, Florida, Ruth Kurash-Daniels of Arizona, Ted Kurash of Texas, Marlene Kurash of New York, niece in law Debbie Ramer of New Brighton, numerous great nieces and great nephews and special friend Eleanor of Aliquippa. Friends will be received Tuesday from 4-8 PM in the John Syka Funeral Home, Inc. 833 Kennedy Dr. Ambridge, from where a Panahyda Service will be held Wednesday at 12:15 PM followed by a Divine Liturgy for the repose of his soul at 1:00 PM in St Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, Park Road, Ambridge. His pastor, Father Geoffrey Mackey will officiate. Interment will follow in SS Peter and Paul Cemetery.
