Joanne Simon

Joanne Simon, 81, of Baden, passed away on Friday, December 11, 2020 in Heritage Valley, Beaver. She was born on March 29, 1939 in Youngstown, Ohio to the late Leslie and Anne Walsh. Joanne was a member of Good Samaritan Parish where she taught CCD. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her husband, James J. Simon, two sisters, Elaine Appelese and Karen Collucci and a brother Leslie Walsh, Jr. She is survived by two sons, Daniel (Christine) Simon of Jefferson Hills, Frank (Susie) Krpicak of Ambridge, daughter, Jennifer Simon of Ambridge, and three grandchildren, Alexis Hitchens, Catie and Faith Simon. Due to the current Covid 19 health concerns, there will be no public visitation. Family and friends will meet on Tuesday in Good Samaritan Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 AM. Masks are required and social distancing must be practiced. Interment will follow in Good Samaritan Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to The Little Sisters of the Poor, 1028 Benton Ave. Pittsburgh, PA 15212.
