Joanna M. Hutson, 91, a resident of Magnolia Place, Saxonburg, formerly of Baden, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2022. She was born on November 12, 1930 in Castel Vecchio, Italy, to the late Pasquale and Letizia (Bianchi) Sabatini. She immigrated to the United States at the age of 5. She along with her late husband Clifford were self employed business owners. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were a brother, Anthony Sabatini and two son-in-laws, Sherm Gary and Ray Matakovich. She is survived by three daughters, Rebecca (Nick) Zabala of Strongsville, OH, Cynthia Matakovich of Economy and Kim Gary of Marshall Twp., five grandchildren, Brian Edmondson, Eric (Jillian) Edmondson of Bellevue, Brandon (Greta) Gary of McCandless Twp., Melanie (Bryan) Stacy of Economy, Joshua Matakovich of Economy, eight great grandchildren, brother, James (Judy) Sabatini of Chippewa and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 4-8 PM at the John Syka Funeral Home, Inc. 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge where prayers will be offered on Thursday at 11:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Noon at St. Luke the Evangelist Parish, Saints John and Paul Catholic Church, 2586 Wexford Bayne Rd. Sewickley, PA. Private entombment will follow on St. Alphonsus Mausoleum, Wexford. The family would like to thank the staff of Magnolia Place of Saxonburg and Transition Hospice for the loving and compassionate care extended to Joanna during her final years and days.
