Joan G. Smith, 79, of Ambridge entered into her eternal home on Wednesday, February 22, 2023. She was born on February 21, 1944, in Sewickley, to the late John and Genevieve (Falarski) Len. Joan worked as a cashier for the former G.C. Murphy Store in Ambridge. She was long time faithful member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Ambridge. She played the accordian and keyboard with her family band, "The Belltones" from 1960 to 1988. Her passions in life included cooking Polish and Ukrainian meals, baking and gardening. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her two husband's, Robert Sedlock, John (Jack) Smith and a daughter, Deborah Maytic. She is survived by a daughter, Lori Sedlock of Baden, three grandchildren, Jennifer Capozzi of Baden, Sarah (Father Andriy) Kelt of Northern Cambria, PA and Robert (Mykhaylo) Zakryzhevskyy of Pittsburgh, three great grandchildren, Lacey and Joey Conwell and Emma Kelt, first cousin, Joanne Pecorus of Moon Township, and dear friend, Ruth McDowell of South Heights. Friends will be received on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the John Syka Funeral Home, Inc. 833 Kennedy Dr. Ambridge. Family and friends will meet Saturday at 10:30 AM in the St. John's Lutheran Church, 1320 Church St., Ambridge where a funeral service will be held at 11 AM by her former pastor, Rev. Gordon F. Strunk. Private interment will take place in Good Samaritan Cemetery.
