Jeannette Hooper, 84, of Baden, passed away Friday, April 28, 2023, in Concordia Villa St. Joseph. She was born June 26, 1938, in Sewickley, to the late Frank and Sophie Dziabiak. She was a member of St. Luke the Evangelist Parish, Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Conway. In her lifetime she was employed at Krogers, Shop n Save, and finally at New Alliance Credit Union until her retirement. She loved traveling overseas as well as numerous trips to Walt Disney World. She enjoyed reading, shopping and gambling at any casino. Jeannette was an avid Pittsburgh sports enthusiast. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her first husband of 22 years, Paul G. Malinak and her second husband of 27 years, David Hooper. She is survived by her four children, Doreen (Gary) Brown of Northeast, PA, Paul C. Malinak and Frannie McCullough of New Sewickley, David (Janet) Malinak of Conway, Sharon Marr and Michael Marr of Oil City, 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, two brothers, Frank (Donna) Dziabiak of Cleveland, OH, Thomas (Valerie) Dziabiak of Texas, two sisters, Gerry Kelly of Center Twp. and Esther Hood of Baden, numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 in the John Syka Funeral Home, Inc. 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge where prayers will be offered Tuesday at 10 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in St. Luke the Evangelist Parish, Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Entombment will follow in Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery, Pittsburgh.
