James L. Robson

James L. Robson, 88, of Harmony Twp., passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2023, at Celebration Village of Chippewa. He was born on December 25, 1934, in Bessemer, Lawrence County.  He worked as an electronics technician at the level of Chief Master Sergeant in aviation at the 911th Airlift Wing, Moon Township. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Preceding him in death in addition to his parents were his wife, Evelyn (Baker) Robson, two sons, Mark and Jeff Robson, granddaughter, Margot Cohen and two sisters, Barbara Gibbs and Esther Owen. He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Niven and son Scott Robson, both of Harmony Twp., three grandchildren, Samantha Dunbar, Miranda, and Mason Robson, brother, Terrance (Annette) Robson of Medina, OH, and brother-in-law, Skip Owen of Grove City. Friends will be received on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the John Syka Funeral Home, Inc. 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge. Family and friends will meet Friday at the Sewickley Baptist Church, 301 Beaver St. Sewickley, PA where a funeral service will be held at 11 AM by Pastor Richard Gelfand. Interment with full military honors provided by the United States Air Force and the Beaver County Special Unit will follow at 12:15 PM in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
