Hollis M. Batey

Hollis M. Batey, 64 of Coraopolis, PA, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, in AHN Wexford Hospital, after a lengthy battle with lung issues.
He was born June 21, 1960, in Youngstown, OH, to the late Hollis and Virginia (Case) Batey.
By trade, Hollis worked as an Electrician for 40 years.  He was a US Airforce Veteran and a member of the American Legion Post 924.  Caring and compassionate, Hollis was always willing to step in and help anyone who needed it.  He will be deeply missed.
Hollis is survived by his companion, Jackie Smith; daughters, Jamie Batey and Nichole (Eric) Patton; son, Hollis (Mercedes) Batey III; 6 grandchildren; sisters, Rebecca Carmichael and Linda (Lynn) Monroe; niece, Renee (Shawn) McGinnis; nephew, Steven Gallant and a great-nephew, Jordan Weeks.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, was his sister, Lois Parkinson.
Per Hollis' wishes, there will be no visitation.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the John Syka Funeral Home, Inc., 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge, PA 15003.
