Harry Kanouff Obituary


Harry G. Kanouff, 77, of Baden, passed away on Tuesday , June 21, 2022. He was born on February 24, 1945 in Punxsutawney, to the late Harry W. and Nina (Potts) Kanouff. He worked as a crane operator for the former J&L Steel Corporation and later retired as a hydraulic pump mechanic for Hauhinco Hydraulics in Evans City.
He was a member of Good Samaritan Catholic Church, Ambridge. Harrys passion in life was wood working. He served his country as a member of the US Army during the Vietnam War. Preceding him in death in addition to his parents were his wife, Patricia Ann Kanouff on July 12, 2005 and a brother, Charles Kanouff. He is survived by two daughters, Barbara (John) Kirish and Jennifer (Bill) Zbrzezny, all of Economy, granddaughter, Makaela Kirish, two sisters, Darlene (Ken) Mattern of Florida and Patricia (John) Stunda of Sewickley, sister-in-law, Sally Knouff of Baden and nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 at the John Syka Funeral Home, Inc. 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge where prayers will be offered on Friday at 10:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in Good Samaritan Catholic Church. Interment with full military honors provided by the Beaver County Special Unit and the United States Army will follow 12:15 in Good Samaritan Cemetery.
