Gloria A. Kingerski, 72, of Economy, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 25, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 16, 1949 in Sewickley, to Anne M. (Mosura) Kowalski of Harmony Twp. and the late Walter Kowalski. She was the school librarian for the Center Area School District retiring with 35 years of service. Gloria was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Conway where she served on various committees. She enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Penguins and loved wire haired terriers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Kingerski on August 22, 2007. Surviving in addition to her mother are a brother and sister-in-law, Wally and Kathy Kowalski of Rochester, a sister and brother-in-law, Angelo and Carol Pournaras of Franklin Park, nieces and nephews, Adam (Jessica) Kowalski of Richmond Hill, GA, Evan (Emily) Kowalski of Nashville, TN, Matthew (Jeanna) Pournaras of Cranberry Twp., Lindsay (Brian) Mohr of Wexford, brother-in-law, Rob (Sharon) Kingerski of Baden and eight great nieces and great nephews. Friends will be received on Friday from 10 AM until time of prayers at 11 AM at the John Syka Funeral Home, Inc. 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 AM in Good Samaritan Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Good Samaritan Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to Good Samaritan Catholic Church, 725 Glenwood Ave., Ambridge, PA 15003. The family would like to thank the staff of AHN Hospice, especially Lisa and also her personal caregivers for their loving and compassionate care extended to Gloria in the home.
