Giuseppina Marando, 97, of Harmony Twp., passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2022, in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 20, 1925, in Plati, Italy to the late Antonio and Rachela (Ciampa) Rigano. She was a seamstress for the former Brooks Brothers Clothier in Pittsburgh retiring with 30 years' service. She was a member of St. Luke the Evangelist Parish, Good Samaritan Church, Ambridge. She was an excellent cook and received great enjoyment in preparing holiday meals bringing the family together. She loved to sing and entertain family and friends with her beloved Italian songs. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her husband, Carlo Antonio Marando, and six siblings, infant Vincenzo Rigano, Santa Catanzarite, Giuseppe Rigano, Antonio Rigano, Vincenzo Rigano and Fortunato Rigano. She is survived by two sons, Dominic and Tony Marando, both of Ambridge, nephews, Tony and Dominic Rigano both of Cranberry, Tony (Terri) Rigano of Harrisburg, niece, Rachel Rigano of Ambridge and numerous nephews in Australia. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 3 to 8 PM in the John Syka Funeral Home, 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge where prayers will be offered on Thursday at 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Luke the Evangelist Parish, Good Samaritan Church. Entombment will follow at Sylvania Hills Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children's Hospital. The family would like to thank the caring nurses of Gallagher Hospice for the compassionate care extended to Giuseppina during her final days.
