Fred R. Rollins

Fred R. Rollins, 95, a resident of Appleblossom Personal Care, formerly of Leetsdale, passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2022. He was born on July 14, 1927 in Meadow Brook, WV to the late William O. and Beulah (Yeater) Rollins. He retired as a tractor driver for LTV Steel Corporation after 30 years of service. Fred was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Sewickley and the Leetsdale VFW. He proudly served his country as a member of the US Army in Korea. Preceding him in death in addition to his parents were his wife, Elizabeth J. Rollins, two daughters, Mariellen Rollins and Louise Rollins, and four brothers, Charles, Paul, William Jr., and Carl Rollins. He is survived by his three sons, Frederick (Donna) Rollins of Port Orford, OR, William A. (Janet) Rollins of Atlanta, GA, George D. (Gail) Rollins of Center Twp., ten grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and a brother, Jack (Sharon) Rollins of Sarasota, FL. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6 until time of funeral services at 7:30 PM in the John Syka Funeral Home, 833 Kennedy Dr., Ambridge. Anyone who wishes to attend the burial service are ask to meet in the parking lot of the Syka Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 18 at 11:45 AM  where the procession will depart promptly at noon to the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies where Fred will be buried with full military honors at 1:00 PM.
