Emily Rainaldi

Emily Rainaldi, 96, of Ambridge, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at Concordia Villa St. Joseph. She was born on July 14, 1925, in Ambridge, to the late Samuel and Sophie (Veite) Rotolo. She was a member of Good Samaritan Catholic Church, Ambridge. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, baking, scratch off lottery tickets, playing the one arm bandits and bingo. Emily was a true animal lover. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her husband, Anthony "Tony" Rainaldi, a son Jeffrey Rainaldi, two grandsons, Drew Sopirak and Rock Rainaldi and four brothers, Joseph, Ernest, Samuel Jr, and Arthur. She is survived by her three daughters, Allyn (Andrew) Sopirak on Wilmington DE, Dr. Leslie Rainaldi of Oldsmar, FL, Barbara Rainaldi of Aliquippa grandchildren, Tiffany Weatherly of Buckeye, AZ, Dr. Kristy Weatherly (Ken) Sinagra of Cranberry Twp., Emily Roman and Brian Rizzo of Dunedin, FL, grandson, Ryan Sopirak (Pamela), five great grandchildren, Peyton, Sean, Paige and Sophie Sopirak, Carmine Sinagra, half-sister, Valerie Rotolo of Beaver Falls, daughter in-law, Rhonda Rainaldi of Beaver Falls, sisters in law, Lena, Dorothy, and Eleanor Scalese, and many nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved.  Friends will be received on Tuesday from 6-8 PM at the John Syka Funeral Home, Inc. 833 Kennedy Dr. Ambridge where prayers will be offered on Wednesday at 10 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in Good Samaritan Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Economy Cemetery.  The family would like to thank the caregivers of Concordia Hospice and the Fontbonne Unit at Concordia Villa St. Joseph for their loving and compassionate care extended to Emily.
