Eleanor "Ellie" Segeleon

Eleanor “Ellie” Segeleon, 95, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at Nazareth Home in Louisville, KY.  Born August 6, 1926, in Sewickley, she was the oldest of four children to the late Rockie and Anne (Corrado) Zappie.  Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her husband, Vincent Segeleon and brothers Rockie and William Zappie.  She is survived by a brother and sister-in-law Robert and Carol Zappie; 2 sons and daughters-in-law Lawrence and Susan Segeleon of Virginia Beach, VA, and Richard and Mary Catherine Segeleon of Louisville, KY; 5 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.  She will be remembered for her love of family, friends and golf.  She was a member of St. Veronica Catholic Church in Ambridge and later St. James Catholic Church in Sewickley.  Friends will be received on Wednesday from 6-8 PM in the John Syka Funeral Home, Inc. 833 Kennedy Dr. Ambridge, where prayers will be offered on Thursday at 9:15 AM.  Interment will follow in Sewickley Cemetery.
