Edward J Neville, age 89, born in Pittsburgh, PA on August 26, 1931 to Daniel Neville and Margaret Kuss. He died on July 11, 2021 in the comfort of his home in Economy, PA which he shared for 60 of his 65 years of marriage to Mathilda (Tillie) Scheller Neville.
In addition to his wife, Ed is survived by his children Cindy (Jerry) Sabuda, Edward Jr (Judy), Kevin (Mary), and Scott (Karen). Also surviving are 10 grandchildren Christy (Ricky), Daniel (Victoria), Andrew (Julie), Ryan (Alexandra), Maria (Jeff), Ann (Peter), Mikayla (Joe), Matthew, Collin, Peter, 5 great grandchildren, and close family friend Tina (Patrick, Heaven and Hailee).
Ed served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Korea where he was with the 98th Engineer Aerial Photo Reproduction Company. After his discharge, he was employed by the PA Departments of Health and Environmental Resources for 40 years.
Ed enjoyed coaching his sons’ baseball teams, hunting, camping, and following the Steelers. He was an avid reader and earned the nickname Mr. Wizard from his grandchildren for his knowledge of fun facts. After retirement he also enjoyed traveling all across the U.S., Canada, and Europe.

Friends will be received on Tuesday from 4-8 PM in the John Syka Funeral, Inc. 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge where prayers will be offered on Wednesday at 12:30 PM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 PM in Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Interment with full military honors will take place at a later date in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Washington County.
