Donald R. Levato, 83, of Ambridge, passed away peacefully with family by his side on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.
He was born on January 14, 1943, in Sewickley, to the late Eugene Sr. and Louise Levato. Donald was a lifelong resident of Ambridge and a member of Saint Luke the Evangelist Parish. Early in his life he was co-owner of D & G Pizza in Beaver Falls with his brother Eugene, and later in life was employed by Nova Chemicals Corporation, from where he retired at the age of 55.
His passions in life included hunting, fishing and golfing. He and his late wife also loved Doo Wop and had been known to secretly dance to the oldies in their living room into the wee hours of the night. They also enjoyed an occasional trip to the casino together, and he, alone, after her passing.
Preceding him in death in addition to his parents are his loving wife Ruth Ann Levato (Krol) and his brother Eugene Levato, Jr.
Surviving are his six children, Michelle (Larry) Schwertz, Dawn (Eric) Stone, Richard Levato, Jerry (Debbie) Levato, Terri (Bruce) Coe, Donald Levato, Jr., sixteen grandchildren: Kayla, Amanda, Chelsea, Natalie, Nathan, Danielle, Christopher, Jonathan, Allison, Jacob, Julia, Carly, Ava, Carly, Chelsea, and Laura. He also had 12 great grandchildren.
All services were held privately in the John Syka Funeral Home, Ambridge. Interment took place in the Good Samaritan Catholic Cemetery.
