Donald M. Dugan Sr.

Beloved son, husband and father, Donald Martin Dugan, Sr. passed away on Monday, December 20, 2021 following his battle with cancer. Donald was preceded in death by his father William Dugan, mother, Catherine Dugan and brother Timothy Dugan. Donald is survived by his wife Cathleen Ann Dugan, sons, Donald Dugan Jr., and Richard Dugan, sister, Jackie Dugan (Ron) Bialorucki, Connie Dugan, William (Nancy) Dugan, Michael (Jen) Dugan, and several nieces and nephews. Donald led a good life. He always believed in work ethic. He has a beautiful life story. Donald went from being on his last week of unemployment to being president of a company with more than 200 employees. He accomplished this through hard work and determination. I'm very proud of the live my father lived. My father is the reason I love America. Donald was a caring and compassionate man. He enjoyed hunting at his families cabin in Tidiute, PA and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers. Donald was baptized Catholic at the St. Veronica Church in Ambridge, PA. Throughout his battle with cancer, Donald took comfort in praying to St. Jude. In his final moments Donald was breathing heavily. Father Joe gave Donald the Annointing of the Sick and in that moment he was able to let go and pass. Donald fought very hard to make it to that moment. Our family will be forever grateful to Father Joe for giving him his final respite and allowing him to pass so peacefully. Donald never believed in saying goodbye. Goodbye was forever. He always preferred so long because it meant we would meet again. So from all of us to my father, so long....so long. There was no public visitation. Services were private. Arrangements were entrusted to the John Syka Funeral Home, Ambridge.
