Dolores (Filipovich) Becker

Dolores Filipovich Becker, of Sewickley, passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, surrounded by her loving family after finishing her book at the age of 92. Born December 20, 1930, in Pittsburgh, daughter of the late John and Frances (Kaczmarzcyk) Filipovich. She retired from the Quaker Valley School District after 26 years in 2002 as a paraprofessional. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents was her husband of 53 years, Samuel E. Becker. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Aimee Jo and Thomas Benedict, son and daughter-in-law, David W. and Jill Becker; grandchildren, Nathan (Becky) Benedict, Nicholle (Corey) Trichel and Samantha (Jayson) Becker; and great grandchildren, Brenna, Declann and Killian Benedict. A private funeral service was held on Friday in the John Syka Funeral Home, Inc, 833 Kennedy Dr. Ambridge which the Rev. Robert Kiplinger officiated. Private interment followed in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
