Debra L. (Dominick) Miketa, 64, of Economy, passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2020. She was born on March 7, 1956 in Sewickley, daughter of Fred and Nancy (Edwards) Dominick of Economy. She was a 1974 graduate of Ambridge High School where she was a majorette. She received an associates degree from Robert Morris College in 1976. Upon graduation she worked for Armco Steel until taking a position as a bank teller for the former Reeves Bank. She then became a paramedic and worked for Valley Ambulance Authority and Economy Ambulance leading her to become a dispatcher for Beaver County Emergency Services. After working as a bookkeeper for Ambridge Lumber, she started a new career as a flight attendant for the former Republic Airlines. She then took a job at the Beaver County District Attorneys Office transferring to the Clerk of Courts where she retired in April of this year. Debra was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Baden and enjoyed golfing, bingo, and going to the casino. Surviving in addition to her parents are her loving husband of 43 years, Eugene (Gene) Miketa, daughter, Jennifer Miketa (Erik Pompeo) of Economy, son, Justin Miketa (Allison Deem) of Baden, grandson, Alexander Pompeo, sister, Lori (James) Hartge of Daugherty Township, sister-in-laws, Michelle Miketa of Baden, and Jane (Kevin) Blanarik of Baden, nieces and nephews, Amanda Hartge (Brandon Gaydosh) of New Brighton, Ashley (Zack) Fetchin of Brighton Twp., Trevor (Tess) Blanarik of Seattle, WA, Karli Blanarik of New York, great nieces and great nephews, Dallas, Gordon, Ruthie, Blakely, and Laynee, and her 2 beloved feline companions Chase and Rubble. Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions on indoor gatherings there will no visitation. Family and friends are invited to meet Wednesday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church where a public Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 AM. Interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested in Debra's memory to Grove City Area Pet Rescue, P.O. Box 292, Grove City, PA 16127. Arrangements have been entrusted to the John Syka Funeral Home, Inc. 833 Kennedy Drive Ambridge.
